Don’t bother with the fancier models of the Panasonic headsets. This bare-bones model has all you need. So it doesn’t have volume adjustment or a mute button. Who cares? Your phone should already have those features. Besides, that redundancy would weigh down the entire unit. Also, this headset is very inexpensive to own, so those unnecessary features would drive up the price, which would not be a good thing.
If you own a Panasonic cordless phone, this headset works best with these phones. I own many Plantronics-brand headsets, which are excellent on my cell phone, but horrible on my Panasonic cordless phone. Callers constantly complain that I sound very far away. But then I bought this Panasonic-brand headset and callers hear me very clearly. Ordinarily, I’d be annoyed at having had to buy an additional headset for my Panasonic phone, but it was so cheap that I really don’t mind. Now I’ve got an extra headset that I can use in my car! An added bonus is that this Panasonic also works really well with my cell phone, so if I had to choose one, I’d ditch my more more expensive Plantronics headset since that only works well on the cell. But, it’s important to note that the Panasonic headset is not that portable so I’m not throwing away anything just yet....

Phones just aren’t made like they used to be, when it comes to durability. I get so frustrated at having to constantly buy new phones because there is some flaw with them after a few months of use. But, one that I really liked was the Panasonic KX-TG6513B DECT 6.0 Plus Digital Cordless Phone System that came with 3 Handsets. There were a lot of features I loved about this phone system, thought the one thing that I did not like (but not enough to stop me from buying it) was that it had no built in answering machine.
It comes with 3 cordless phones that are decent looking (black, silver) and each comes with their own base (a larger one for the main phone). I placed them in my living room, bedroom, and in the kitchen. The phones all have headphone jacks which was a must because I take calls in my bedroom with the headset, and they also have clips, so I can clip it to my pocket, still use the headset, and then walk to my library if I need to look up something for the person on the other end of the phone (keeping my hands free). It allows all of the subscribed features like voice mail and Caller ID, which I use. It’s easy to access, and the phone has a bright light-up that lets me read the numbers and names clearly.
